UFO Sightings On The Rise In Pa.

DOYLESTOWN (CBS) ― Residents in a Bucks County town have their eyes on the sky after a recent rash of UFO sightings, reports CBS station KYW-TV.

Star watchers have their cameras trained on the air above Bucks County as a large number of residents have reported numerous strange lights and bizarre shapes hovering in the area.

Joseph Vigilante says he recently caught glimpse of a UFO above his Doylestown store, The Bagel Barrel.

"It looked most like a star except for the rapidly changing color to it and it was far brighter than any other star in the sky," he said.

Vigilante is not alone. Last year, there were over 70 reported UFO sightings in Bucks County. Many witnesses captured photos and video of strange blinking lights high in the atmosphere.

Cynics and skeptics have their doubts about the sightings saying the lights are from a nearby Air Force base, but others are holding on to the thought of alien tourists.

"I'm not really qualified to make a judgment call, but I try to keep an open mind," said Doylestown resident Vicky Azar.

The influx of strange lights in the skies of Bucks County has drawn the attention of UFO enthusiasts from around the country. Believers are gathering at Bucks County Community College on Saturday, January 24 for the annual UFO convention.

The festivities run from Noon to 5 p.m. and admission is $15.
