What is normally a blessing for farmers is rapidly becoming a curse.
Too much rain is now impacting crops, and as Alex DeMetrick reports, it's opening the door to more problems down the road.
Tom Reynolds' farm in Reisterstown took another soaking.
Heavy rain in May and now June is causing problems.
"It's getting too wet, you get a yellowing of this plant tissue right here. You'll see a yellowing of the raspberries, which shows a lack of nutrients because there's so much rain that is washing the nutrients away from the plant," Reynolds said.
The Maryland Department of Agriculture says the impact is statewide.
"If the rain continues it will delay the planting to a point where it may not even be feasible," Mark Powell of the MDA said.
"It's a vicious, vicious downward cycle when you have this much continuous rain," Reynolds said.
That's because sprays can't be applied to protect plans from insects or diseases.
