A child from Washington is lucky to be alive.
Surveillance video from
outside a shopping center in Sunnyside captured 4-year-old Yasmin
Frausto walking in a red dress, behind her parents, when a car suddenly
comes toward her, smashing into the wall and nearly landing on her.
The car hits a small pole in the parking lot, lifting it up against a wall, with little Yasmin hiding underneath.
Sunnyside Police Officer Scott Orate said, "Had she moved one foot to the left or one foot to the front, this could have
been pretty bad for her."
Police said the driver had hit a pick-up truck seconds before barreling into the wall. She was been charged with reckless driving and ticketed for driving with a suspended license.
