Juvenile Transfer Denied For Suspect In Beating
by Sally Thorner
BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) ―
A Baltimore judge won't allow a man accused of beating a Baltimore man who's in a coma to move his trial to
juvenile court.
Sally Thorner reports Arthur Jeter, 18, is charged with attempted murder, assault, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery in the attack on 28-year-old Zach Sowers.
The juvenile transfer hearing for co-defendent 17-year-old Eric Price is scheduled in November.
Sowers was found on a sidewalk severely beaten on June 2. He was walking to his house near Patterson Park when he was attacked. Sowers has been in a coma since the beating.
Wilburt Martin and Trayvon Ramos are also charged in the crime.
Charging documents show the suspects used Sowers' credit card to buy gas and DVDs.
