Funeral Held For Murdered Pregnant Woman

OVERLEA, Md. (WJZ) ― A funeral mass was held Friday for 24-year-old Liz Walters, who was shot and killed while sitting in a car on a Baltimore County parking lot Monday morning.

Walters was seven months pregnant. Baltimore County Police say the shooter was 24-year-old David Lee Miller, father of the unborn baby.

Walters' friend 24-year-old Heather Lowe was in the car with Walters and was also shot. She was flown to Shock Trauma but not before identifying Miller as the shooter.

At the funeral mass at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, family and friends gathered to remember this special young woman, who had great plans, they say, for her and her baby.

Miller is married, and police say he drove his wife's car to the parking lot where he shot the two women.

He's being held without bail.

Baltimore County's States Attorney will decide within 30 days if Miller will also be charged with murdering the unborn baby.
