Family Searching For Missing Man With Alzheimer's

Baltimore, MD (WJZ) ― A holiday heartbreak for Anne Arundel county woman. Her father, Gilberto Feliciano was scheduled to arrive in town last week, and he never showed up. Feliciano is in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease and his family fears he could be anywhere along the east coast.

The 64 year old grandfather boarded a greyhound bus in North Miami beach last Thursday bound for Baltimore but never arrived.

WJZ'S Kathryn Brown spoke to the missing man's daughter. "It's been over a week now and I was supposed to pick him on the the 16th and I'm not," said Lorah Proffitt.

His luggage arrived safely, but somewhere along the thousand mile journey Feliciano goes missing. He was last seen wearing an olive green jacket, khaki pants, and blue shoes. "We faxed photos over, fliers, pretty much to every stop on there...We're hoping that he made it as far up as Maryland but there's no way of knowing that." said Lewis Proffitt, who is Lorah's husband.

Because Feliciano's family doesn't know where he disappeared from, getting police to investigate has been nearly impossible. Eyewitness News spoke to Greyhound, who says they are cooperating with the family and local authorities. If you know any information of Gilberto Feliciano's whereabouts, you're asked to call police.
