Man Found After Going Missing In Choptank River

Cambridge, MD (AP) ― Maryland Natural Resources Police say a man reported missing Sunday in the Choptank River near Cambridge
turned up ten hours later, disoriented, at a convenience store about ten miles away.

Thirty-three-year-old Antonio McCoy of Vienna showed up late Sunday night at a store in Trappe. He was taken to Easton Memorial Hospital, where he was admitted with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police were told that McCoy and another man were aboard a 20-foot boat that ran aground Sunday afternoon. McCoy went into the water to push the vessel, then disappeared. Rescuers from several agencies searched for McCoy until nightfall Sunday.

Police are trying to determine what happened between the reported disappearance and McCoy's arrival at the store.
