Crash Closes 2 Ramps To Northbound I-895

BALTIMORE (WJZ) ― The Shell Road and Frankfurst Avenue ramps to northbound I-895 are closed.

Closures are expected through afternoon rush. Motorists should expect delays or use alternative routes.

The Shell Road and Frankfurst Avenue ramps to northbound I-895 are closed due to a single-vehicle property-damage crash. The right lane of northbound I-895 prior to the Baltimore Harbor Tunnel toll plaza is also closed as crews upright the vehicle and off-load its contents.

The Frankfurst Avenue ramp and I-895 right-lane closures are expected to last through the afternoon rush-hour.

The Shell Road ramp is expected to remain closed overnight as crews install temporary barrier walls on the ramp.

Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to use alternative routes including the Fort McHenry Tunnel (I-95) and the Francis Scott Key Bridge (I-695).

Up-to-date lane-closure and traffic information will be provided to motorists via overhead variable-message signs on I-895 and other major routes.
