A star is back in Charm City.
Baltimore bullet Michael Phelps is home after taking a record 8 gold medals at the Olympic Games in Beijing.
Jessica Kartalija talked to Phelps about being back and his plans for the future.
Michael Phelps may be an Olympic superstar, but he's also a 23-year-old who's just very happy to be home.
Phelps has been going non-stop since leaving Beijing.
Stopping home for a quick two day layover includes the release of Kellogg's new cereal boxes.
"I was talking to some of my friends and they're like 'so, you're going to be with Tony the Tiger?' I was like yes," said Phelps.
Returning to the pool where he honed his swimming skills, Michael Phelps accepted a $250,000 donation Thursday from Kellogg's for his charitable foundation.
For the first time since taking home a record 8 gold medals, Phelps sits down for a little one-on-one on what it's like to be back in Baltimore.
"It's cool to have your home, your home state, everyone just going nuts and to be away from home but still literally heard everything that was going on. I was always talking to my friends; it's just a cool feeling," said Phelps.
It's even cooler seeing yourself on a poster.
"I was in New York, and we were going to the airport, and we were passing an Omega sign, and I was like 'oh, it's me.' I was like, that's kinda weird though, something I am trying to get used to, something that's new in my life," said Phelps.
Phelps, who recently bought a place in Fells Point, says he's ready to relax before getting back in the pool to train for 2012.
But don't look for him to compete in the windy city.
