Minor Train Derailment Causes Delays In Jessup
JESSUP (AP) ―
Maryland Transit Administration says a minor freight train derailment forced MARC trains to operate on a single track this evening between Jessup and Savage.
CSX spokesman Gary Sease says the train derailed on the Camden Line. He says six cars went off the tracks around 4 p.m. but did not overturn, and there were no injuries. The train was able to continue without those six cars.
The MTA says the incident caused minor delays in the evening rail service.
