Montgomery County fire officials say all lanes of the Capital Beltway's outer loop are closed while hazardous material crews clean up after a welding truck overturned and caught fire.
Fire and rescue spokesman Pete Piringer says the truck overturned around 11 a.m. Tuesday on the outer loop between River Road and the American Legion Bridge. The truck was carrying oxygen and acetylene and other hazardous materials.
The cleanup has closed the outer loop and only three inner loop lanes are open in that area. Piringer says they're trying to reopen at least two lanes of the outer loop.
Piringer says the driver of the truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital.
