Towson Travels To Annapolis For Instate Matchup

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) ―

You would think a lower-level school coming off a losing season would be the ideal opponent for a first-year head coach.

Navy's Ken Niumatalolo, who has the unenviable task of replacing the most successful head coach in program history in Paul Johnson, doesn't view Towson in that light. Niumatalolo sees the Tigers, who endured a disappointing 3-8 record in 2007, as a dangerous threat.

Niumatalolo says his players better not look ahead.

This is certainly a big game for Towson, which is celebrating its 40th season of intercollegiate football. This is the first game against a Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly I-A) opponent in program history.
