McNair Schedules Surgery, Ends Season

BALTIMORE (AP) ― The Baltimore Ravens say Steve McNair will end his season by having shoulder surgery.

McNair will be placed on the injured reserve. He needs to have his partially torn rotator cuff operated on.

The (Baltimore) Sun says the Ravens may sign another quarterback because they only have Kyle Boller and Troy Smith.

If McNair returns next year, he would make $4 million. But coach Brian Billick says only time will tell if McNair would play again for the Ravens.

The 13-year veteran partially dislocated a shoulder and damaged his rotator cuff against the Cincinnati Bengals.
