Orioles' Walker Won't Need Elbow Surgery

BALTIMORE (AP) ― The agent for Orioles reliever Jamie Walker says Walker won't need surgery on his left elbow.

Agent Phil Tannenbaum says Walker spent two days this week being examined by a noted orthopedist in Alabama and was given a clean bill of health.

Walker was told to rest and do some exercises to get ready for next spring.

Walker spent more than a month on the disabled list this year with elbow irritation.

He'll enter the final season of this three-year contract next year.
