O's Have Until Midnight To Make Cabrera An Offer
BALTIMORE (AP) ―
Starter Daniel Cabrera's future with the Baltimore Orioles could be decided Friday night.
The team has until midnight to either tender a contract offer or allow him to become a free agent. Cabrera won 17 and lost 28 over the past two seasons after years of inconsistent outings for the Orioles. Last season ended with worries about his arm.
Orioles president Andy MacPhail said yesterday he had spoken to Cabrera's agent and planned to do so again today.
