As Michael Phelps makes the transition from swimmer to celebrity, his hometown is turning to a celebrity interviewer to help honor him.
"Access Hollywood" host and red-carpet veteran Billy Bush will host a tribute to Phelps next month at Baltimore's Fort McHenry.
Bush says he's "thrilled to take part in honoring the world's greatest Olympian and a great American."
Phelps will be honored with a parade in his native Towson before the evening program at Fort McHenry, culminating with a fireworks display.
The event will also pay tribute to two other Maryland swimmers: Olympian Katie Hoff and Paralympic champion Jessica Long.
