Flacco Will Be Ravens Starter For Rest Of Season

OWINGS MILLS, Md. (AP) ―

Ravens coach John Harbaugh says rookie Joe Flacco will be his starting quarterback for the rest of the season.

Harbaugh says Troy Smith will be able to compete with Todd Bouman for the top backup job.

Smith was considered a contender for the starting job in the preseason, before he suffered a tonsil infection.

Harbaugh says Bouman will remain the No.2 quarterback this week and Smith will remain the No.3.

Flacco has completed 58.5 percent of his passes for 603 yards.

He has thrown one touchdown and four interceptions.
