Rested Big Brown Ready For Preakness

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) ―

Kentucky Derby winner Big Brown has left Louisville on his way to Maryland for this weekend's Preakness.

The colt left in a tractor-trailer from Churchill Downs Wednesday afternoon.

He galloped one final time around the track at Churchill Downs earlier in the day.

Trainer Rick Dutrow Jr. says he couldn't ask for more from his horse in the 11 days following his Derby win despite poor weather in Louisville that only allowed Big Brown to gallop three times since the Derby.

Dutrow isn't concerned about the post draw for the Preakness field, saying it couldn't be worse than starting on the far outside post as Big Brown did in the Derby.
