There's no place in the world more manic about Michael Phelps than right here in Baltimore.
Mike Schuh has more on the swimming sensation's success.
The boy from Rodgers Forge has now left his mark on the world.
"It's very, very, very, very, very exciting," said Andrew Decker.
At the North Baltimore Athletic Club in Meadowbrook, the place where Michael learned to swim and become a champion, he's all they're watching.
"Yeah, he's a beast," said Mike Nabutovsky.
"I usually go to bed at seven. Now I get to stay up two hours later," Decker said.
"It's really cool. I want to go to the Olympics," said Isabel Rudie.
Michaelmania is worldwide.
At Camden Yards, Michael's always on exhibition.
"It gives something for Marylanders who've known Michael since he was a kid something to see," said Sports Legends curator Shawn Heme.
Next up, the 200 individual medley Thursday and the 100 fly on Friday. On Saturday, there's a team swim in the medley relay.
