One holiday tradition in Maryland is now nearly two decades old. The Kennedy Krieger Festival of Trees opened in Timonium Friday.
Kai Jackson reports it feels like there's so much to see and not enough time to see it.
It's a sea of green at the Timonium Fairgrounds in Baltimore County. Tickets were on sale, and the line formed at the door.
"You see Grinch holding a tree. We saw a tree in all pink," said Terri Boyer, festival goer.
It's Kennedy Krieger's 19th annual Festival of Trees. It's the perfect event to walk off that Thanksgiving meal.
"The trees are amazing. The wreaths are so creative. The gingerbreads are so creative. It's just amazing," said Lainy Lewbow-Sachs with Kennedy Krieger.
There are trees with gold medal themes.
"The Olympic one, the 2008 Beijing one," said Micah Bower, 12-years-old.
There are also trees all about local teams.
Wreaths for hanging and gingerbread for eating is easy to find. Santa is there with his little helpers, and kids go loco for the locomotives in the train garden.
All of the fun helps to fund Kennedy Krieger programs.
As part of our Continued Community Commitment,
WJZ is a proud sponsor of the holiday festival.
It runs through Sunday at the Timonium Fairgrounds.
