Chimes School Celebrates 60th Anniversary

BALTIMORE (WJZ) ― The Chimes School has turned 60-years-old, having spent six decades serving children with multiple disabilities and autism.

President and CEO Terry Allen Perl took Richard Sher on a tour of the new $4.5 million dollar Chimes School, which opened recently on Seton Drive in Northwest Balitmore.

"We're just so excited that we now have the state of the art facility to further improve our service to the children and adults who attend Chimes," Perl said.

To celebrate its 60th anniversary, Chimes will hold its 2007 Hall of Fame evening, starring Liza Minnelli on Saturday, Oct. 27 at the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall.

For ticket information call 410-358-7774, 1-800-CHIMES1, or Ticketmaster.

Formal dedication of the new Chimes School will be held Friday, Oct. 26.
