Nantucket Blend Trail Mix Recalled

BALTIMORE (WJZ) ― There's a major recall involving trail mix.  

Healthwatch reporter Kellye Lynn reports the Back to Nature Foods Company is recalling its Nantucket Blend trail mix sold nationwide.

The product is being pulled from store shelves because of the risk of salmonella contamination from pistachios. The recall involves the mix in 10- and 28-ounce bags.

  • 10-Ounce Bag, look for UPC code 59283-31039 and a "best by" date between 11/4/09 and 12/12/09.
  • 28-Ounce Bag, look for UPC code UPC code 59283-00020 and a "best by" date between 08/20/09 and 12/12/09.
The "best by" date is located on the back of the package.

Although there have been no reported illnesses, the manufacturer wants people who have purchased the bags to throw them out.
