Ravens Partner With Md. Lottery

BALTIMORE (AP) ― Maryland officials have approved an $810,000 contract to form a partnership between the Baltimore Ravens football team and the Maryland Lottery.

The Board of Public Works approved the deal on Wednesday.

The scratch-off game will feature the team's logo on $5 game cards, which will be sold at Ravens home games and other lottery outlets.

Maryland Lottery Director Buddy Roogow says the state stands to gain $3 million in net revenue from the game.

Three top prizes of $1 million are possible. Players also can be eligible for drawings to win Ravens prizes, such as jerseys, season tickets and access to the team's training facility.

NFL owners voted to allow teams to sign licensing deals with state-sponsored lotteries in May. The New England Patriots, Washington Redskins and Houston Texans have already announced deals.
