Former Raven Stover Joins The Indianapolis Colts

BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) ― The Indianapolis Colts have signed ex-Ravens kicker Matt Stover to replace Adam Vinatieri, who is out for four to eight weeks following knee surgery.

ESPN is reporting the team said Vinatieri underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee to remove a piece of cartilage. Vinatieri, in his 14th season, has 35 points on six field goals and 17 points after conversions this season.

Stover, a 19-year veteran, has 462 career field goals and 561 PATs in 287 career games with the Ravens and Cleveland Browns.

The Ravens elected not to resign Stover, who still makes his home in the Baltimore area.
