Group Takes Care Of 3 Of Vick's Pit Bulls

Reporting
Adam May
BALTIMORE (WJZ/AP) ―
Three pit bulls formerly owned by disgraced NFL star Michael Vick have new homes, thanks to a Baltimore group that rescues abused and abandoned dogs and cats.
Adam May reports Recycled Love Inc. has been selected to foster the dogs. The group isn't revealing exactly where the animals live out of fear that someone interested in having a "Vick dog" might steal them.
But Karen Reese, a co-founder of the organization, says the dogs are doing well.
"We knew that if we applied for the Michael Vick dogs and showed the public that if the dogs had the opportunity, if handled properly, to be rehabilitated, then we should be doing the same thing with the animals in Baltimore City."
Vick, the former Atlanta Falcons quarterback, is serving a 23-month prison term on federal dogfighting charges. The three dogs were among nearly four dozen turned over to animal groups after being seized from Vick's property in rural Virginia.
