Baby Camel Adds Cuteness Factor To Maryland Zoo

BALTIMORE (WJZ) ―

There's a very special little treat at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore.

She's Mocha, a three-week-old baby camel. She is with her mom Marie, who is one of two camels at the zoo for kids to ride.

The camel rides are always a big summertime hit at the zoo.  Rides are $4.

"I loved the bumpy stuff. You won't want to miss it," Chase Sherman, 4, told Richard Sher.

"The camels are back and having baby Mocha with us is a plus for us. She's as cute as a camel can be," said Don Hutchinson, president and CEO of the Maryland Zoo.

The camels come from Missouri for the season.

"It's great to see the faces of the children as they ride around here at the zoo," said trainer Chip Malchow.

The camels appear daily through Labor Day.
