It was reported Spc. Keara Bono, who lives in St. Paul, was shot twice in the Fort Hood massacre. One bullet hit her back and the other grazed her head.

Army officials say a total of 43 people were shot when an Army soldier opened fire Thursday at Fort Hood base in Texas.
At least 13 were killed, all but one of them service members. The alleged shooter, Army. Major Nidal Malik Hasan, was confronted by a civilian police officer. (

Lt. Gen. Bob Cone, the top commander at Fort Hood, said Friday that Fort Hood police Sgt. Kimberly Munley and her partner responded within three minutes of reported gunfire Thursday afternoon. Cone said Munley shot Hasan four times despite being shot herself.
Officials said Munley was in stable condition.
Cone said, "It was an amazing and an aggressive performance by this police officer."
Cone also said he was inspired by a woman who helped carry a wounded victim and used her blouse as a tourniquet, then later realized she'd been shot in the hip.
Hasan, is hospitalized on a ventilator.
Officials have not released the names of those injured or killed in the attack.

- Pfc. Michael Pearson & Francheska Velez Two Illinois soldiers were among those killed in the massacre at Fort Hood, Texas. Pfc. Michael Pearson of Bolingbrook and Francheska Velez of Chicago, both 21, were among the 13 people who lost their lives when Hasan opened fire, their families confirmed. Pearson was shot three times and died in surgery Thursday night. - CBS station WBBM-TV
- Spc. Jason Dean Hunt A recently married, 22-year-old soldier from southwest Oklahoma was one of the 13 people killed at Fort Hood, his mother said Friday. Gale Hunt of Frederick said two uniformed soldiers came to her door Thursday to notify her of the death of her son.
- Amy Krueger, of Kiel, Wisconsin, was among those killed at Fort Hood, Texas, according to media reports. Krueger, a sergeant with the Madison-based 467th Medical Detachment, was reportedly set to deploy to Afghanistan in December.
- Russell Seager, a Racine, Wisconsin native, was a nurse practitioner in the primary care area at the VA Medical Center. He was killed at Fort Hood Thursday, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. Seager joined the Army Reserve about four years ago and was reportedly looking forward to his deployment to Iraq.
- Specialist Kham Xiong, A 23-year-old soldier from St. Paul, Minnesota, was among those killed in the Fort Hood shootings Thursday afternoon. - CBS Station WCCO-TV
- Army Reserve Spc. Grant Moxon, of Lodi, Wisconsin was very close to the Army major who shot and injured soldiers at Fort Hood, according to the Wisconsin State Journal. Moxon has a bullet lodged in his leg above his knee.
- Dorothy "Dorrie" Carskadon, a U.S. Army Reserve social worker of Rockford, Illinois was critically injured in the Fort Hood shootings, Michelle Zuba-Ingram with St. Chad Episcopal Church in Loves Park, told the Rockford Register Star.
- Matthew Cooke was among the injured in the attack. "He's been shot in the abdomen and that's all we know," Jamie Casteel told The Associated Press. She said Cooke, from New York state, had been home from Iraq for about a year.
- Amber Bahr The family of a Random Lake, Wisconsin soldier injured in the Fort Hood shooting says Amber Bahr was shot in the back and is undergoing tests. Lisa Pfund says she was relieved when the 19-year-old Bahr finally called Thursday evening. Bahr told her she went running when shots rang out, and didn't realize she'd been hit until she went to an emergency room. - CBS affiliate WKBT-TV
- Ray Saucedo Ashley Saucedo told WOOD-TV in Michigan that her husband, Ray Saucedo, was shot in the arm, but she couldn't discuss specifics. Saucedo said she and the couple's two children weren't permitted to leave their home at Fort Hood during the shootings.

Keara Bono was shot twice. One bullet hit the Missouri native in her back and the other grazed her head. - CBS station WCCO-TV.
- Staff Sgt. Alonzo (Mac) Lunsford, a Richmond, North Carolina native, was injured at the Texas base Thursday. Lunsford, who stands near 7-feet-tall, is reportedly in his early 40s. He was shot three or four times and two of the bullets have

- George Stratton III,18, called his father a short time after the shootings. George Stratton Jr., from his Post Falls, Idaho home said his son called him from an ambulance on the way to the hospital. He says his son is okay, and was only a few feet away when the shooting started. - KVTB.com
- Nathan Hewitt, of Lafayette, Indiana, is one of the wounded soldiers. CBS affiliate WLFI-TV spoke with Hewitt by phone from his hospital bed. He said he is doing well and is trying to keep everyone's spirits up. Hewitt's uncle said his 27-year-old nephew is recovering from a shot wound in the calf and a hip injury. He said Hewitt was at the Fort Hood medical facility when shots were fired.
- Staff Sgt. Joy Clark, a Des Moines, Iowa soldier, was among the soldiers wounded in the rampage, her father revealed Friday. Clark, 27, was shot in the left arm, according to her father Jerry Nelson. - CBS affiliate KIMT
