Jolie Rep. Tells 'People' Birth Rumors Are False

NEW YORK (CBS) ― Several media outlets reported Friday that Angelina Jolie gave birth to twins in France. However, according to People.com, the births are just a rumor.

According to People.com "Contrary to a flurry of recent reports that Angelina Jolie has delivered her twins, PEOPLE confirms that the rumors are not true."

"Angelina has not given birth. She is fine, enjoying her home and her family in France," a rep for the actress tells PEOPLE.

The twin girls were reportedly named Isla (pronounced eye-la) Marcheline and Amelie Jane Jolie-Pitt.

Entertainment Tonight reported the birth on its Web site, citing a source close to Jolie that it did not name. Representatives for Jolie and her partner, Brad Pitt, did not immediately return calls for comment.

The twins would have been the fifth and sixth children for the couple known as Brangelina. Their other children are 6-year-old Maddox, 4-year-old Pax, 3-year-old Zahara and 2-year-old Shiloh.
