Brandon Walker has written a song about what many Jewish people do on Christmas. The video has received a million hits on YouTube.
It's one of the hottest videos on YouTube. The star is from Baltimore and it was filmed right here in Charm City.
Ron Matz reports on the catchy tune that's become a pop phenomenon.
Baltimore's Brandon Walker, 24, wrote a song about what many in the Jewish community do on Dec. 25--eat Chinese food and go to the movies.
Walker came up with the idea for "We Eat Chinese Food on Christmas" in college.
"It's been a four-year process. I wrote the song in a few weeks and I got it played on a few radio stations around the country. But it only took off last year when I made a YouTube video," said Walker.
The mega hit video on YouTube has now been viewed more than one million times.
"It has exceeded my expectations as to how far it has reached. People tell me they've received an e-mail with an attachment to my video from 10 different people. It has been sent all over the world. It's awesome to hear that, so its been seen by a lot of people," said Walker.
A portion of Brandon Walker's hit music video was filmed at the Senator Theatre. Now the famed movie house is being seen all over the world.
Some of the video's other scenes were filmed at the China Best Restaurant in Owings Mills and the Hunt Valley Town Center.
Walker is a 2001 graduate of Owings Mills High School. He is a band teacher at Beth Tfiloh.
