Former Cubs CEO Andy MacPhail Returns To Wrigley

CHICAGO (AP) ―

Former Cubs CEO Andy MacPhail was back at Wrigley Field last night as head of baseball operations for the Baltimore Orioles.

MacPhail was in charge of the Cubs for 12 years until he resigned after a last-place finish in 2006. Last night, he sat in the visiting dugout as his Orioles took on the Cubs. He wore an orange shirt and reminisced about his time in Chicago.

McPhail says he thinks he did a lot of things with the Cubs that he's pleased with, but he says he never achieved his goal of getting to the World Series.
