Pedestrian Killed In Jessup Identified

JESSUP, Md. (AP) ― Howard County police have released the name of the woman who died after she was struck by a vehicle Monday evening in Jessup.

Police say the woman, 45-year-old Brenda Ruby, had no fixed address.

She was struck shortly before 7 p.m. along Route 175 near Pocomoke Drive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital a short time later.

The driver was uninjured. Police say Ruby had been wearing dark clothing and say the accident was caused by pedestrian error.
