Oil Truck Overturns, Shuts Down Southbound I-95

ROSEDALE, Md. (WJZ) ― Two vehicles crash, causing southbound I-95 to be shut down.

Captain Mike Perry reports it happened Thursday afternoon on southbound I-95 near Pulaski Highway.

Officials say a cooking oil truck and Mustang collided, and the truck overturned.

The tank, filled with cooking oil, leaked all over the roadway.

The southbound lanes of I-95 have been shut down, and traffic is being diverted to southbound 895.  There are also delays on the northbound side. Motorists can also use Pulaski Highway as an alternative route.

Crews are currently using sand to mop up the oil.

There is no word on any injuries at this point.  Both vehicles have been removed from the scene.
