Maryland Trout Season Opens
FAIR HILL, Md. (AP) ―
It's trout time again in Maryland.
State waters open Saturday morning for recreational trout fishing.
The state Department of Natural Resources has invited anglers to try trout fishing Saturday morning in creeks in Cecil County, at a recreational area in Fair Hill popular with trout fishermen.
Opening day for trout won't compare with the state's biggest fishing kickoff, though. That comes up in three weeks -- when spring trophy season for striped bass, or rockfish, opens across the Chesapeake and its tributaries. Rockfish trophy season opens April 19.
