House Committee Approves Repeal Of Tech Tax
ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) ―
A House committee has approved a repeal of a tax on computer services.
The 13-8 vote by the House Ways and Means Committee sends the repeal measure to the full House.
The bill resembles a repeal measure already passed by the Senate to end the tax and make up for the resulting $200 million budget hole.
It includes a new tax on people who make more than $1 million a year. It also includes $50 million in cuts to transportation and another $50 million in cuts that will be determined later by the Board of Public Works.
