Accused Teacher Found Dead At Home

FOREST HILL, Md. (AP) ― A high school teacher has been found dead of a gunshot wound in his Forest Hill home, about five weeks after being charged with a sexual offense against a student.

Harford County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Monica Worrell says Brian Norman, 34, was found dead by friends shortly before 8 p.m. Saturday.

The sheriff's office has ruled it a suicide.

Norman was a history teacher at North Harford High School in Pylesville.

On Nov. 13, he was charged with fourth-degree sex offense, second-degree assault and threatening school employees with bodily harm.

Authorities said he slapped a 16-year-old female student on the buttocks and made death threats to unnamed school employees.
