There will be fine food and much more at "A Taste of Catonsville."
It's a neighborhood famous for its fourth of July celebration, but right now they're preparing for a big event just a few days away.
Ron Matz reports there will be fine food and much more at "A Taste of Catonsville."
Take a walk along Frederick Road and you'll find a lot of new businesses, landmark restaurants and some very friendly people.
Sean Dunworth and partner Rob Rehmert are busy preparing for Monday night's "A Taste of Catonsville," featuring fine food from 23 neighborhood restaurants.
"We hope this project will spur more businesses to come to Catonsville and keep the momentum going. We feel very strongly about Catonsville and we love it," said Dunworth, co-owner of Catonsville Gourmet.
They've transformed a 110-year-old former hardware store into a gourmet restaurant and market.
It's the new and the familiar that make Catonsville so welcoming.
"It's a wonderful and close-knit community and there's a lot of pride here," said George Brookhart, president of the Catonsville Chamber of Commerce.
"A Taste of Catonsville" raises money for the July 4th celebration.
"A Taste of Catonsville" will be held at the Rolling Road Golf Club.
