Man Faces Trial In Target Theft
TOWSON, Md. (AP) ―
A York County, Pa., man is scheduled Monday to go on trial on charges he posed as an armored car guard to steal $72,000 in deposits from a Target store in Baltimore County.
Robert Flanagan, 38, previously worked for the company, allegedly kept his uniform, and attempted several similar thefts at area retailers on the morning of the Target heist.
Those attempts failed when workers reported he was not carrying an ID card from the security company.
Flanagan is also accused of a similar theft two months later that netted nearly $200,000 from a bank in Howard County. That case is scheduled to go to trial in June.
His wife, Robin, is scheduled to go on trial in June in York County on charges of receiving stolen property.
