Counterfeit T-Shirts Found During Traffic Stop
PERRYVILLE, Md. (AP) ―
Maryland State Police say a traffic stop on Interstate 95 near Perryville led to the seizure of 189 unlicensed rock band T-shirts.
Police say the van was stopped for speeding in the southbound lanes early Wednesday. A search of the van turned up the T-shirts featuring the names and logos of famous rock groups. Authorities say the merchandise was counterfeit.
Police say the driver, 35-year-old Barry Parker of Baltimore, is charged with one count of counterfeit trademark. His passenger, 29-year-old Alexander Valdez of Baltimore, was charged with possession of marijuana.
