Howard Co. Grand Jury Indicts Man In Accident

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) ―

The Howard County grand jury has indicted a Taneytown man in an accident that killed a stranded motorist near Sykesville.

The indictment charges Aleksandr Dyubanov with negligent homicide while under the influence and several other drunken-driving offenses.

He posted $50,000 bond and was released from the Howard County Detention Center.

County police say Dyubanov struck 23-year-old Luther Beamer of Odenton after Beamer ran out of gas on Route 32 near Deer Hill Road.

Police say Beamer was putting gas into his vehicle on the shoulder when he was struck by Dyubanov's pickup truck.
