Man Dies After Accident With Street Sweeper

FROSTBURG, Md. (AP) ― State police say a Barton man was killed and two passengers were injured when his vehicle rear-ended a street sweeper south of Frostburg.

The crash happened about 9:20 Tuesday morning on Cabin Run Road.

David Smith, 46, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital.

Two passengers, 43-year-old Naomi Smith and a 17-year-old boy, were treated for injuries.

The operator of the street sweeper was not injured.

The accident remains under investigation.
