Montgomery Co. Woman Sues Senior Living Home
GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) ―
A Montgomery County woman is suing the senior living center where she lived, claiming she was on the floor for four days with a broken leg before workers found her.
Helen Friedman, 83, filed the lawsuit last week in Montgomery County Circuit Court, accusing Sunrise at Montgomery Village in Gaithersburg of "negligence and abuse." The lawsuit says she was unable to move after falling and fracturing her leg in her room in April. Friedman claims she was on the floor for more than four days before employees found her.
The facility is owned by McLean, Va.-based Sunrise Senior Living. Company spokeswoman Meghan Lublin says Sunrise had not received the lawsuit, but planned to review the allegations.
