It's what some people in Dundalk suspected, a violent thunderstorm Tuesday evening did generate a tornado.
Alex DeMetrick reports another storm Wednesday night caused damage in the Reisterstown area of Baltimore County.
A photo sent to eyewitness news caught the tornado as it passed near Merritt Boulevard in Dundalk.
"It was a mess, a whole, we couldn't get in our driveway," said one nearby man.
The tornado was rated minimal with 70-mile per hour winds, it still caused scattered damage Tuesday evening. At the other end of Baltimore County, there is more mess to clean up after a strong thunderstorm roared through the Reiserstown area, tearing trees apart.
"I'm standing here just watching it just absolutely split in half, right in front of me, it was pretty cool, but knowing the damage, it kind of sucks,"said Geoff Cooper
A lot of trees were lost in the storm.
A shed and a brand new riding mower were crushed. One house took a major hit, when a large tree came crashing through the roof, damaging a bedroom and bath.
People say whatever it was that blew through was an intense burst of energy.
"The wind just came ... and went straight through. It was very strong, very intense," says Deborah Cooper, a local homewoner.
While the storm turned trees into flying debris, those caught in the storm said it felt more like wind sheer than a tornado.
