Teen Pleads Guilty After Man Left In Coma

BALTIMORE (AP) ―

A Baltimore teenager has pleaded guilty to attempted murder and robbery in a June beating that left the victim in a coma.

Trayvon Ramos, 16, was given a life sentence, suspended after 40 years.

Ramos was one of four people arrested after the beating of 28-year-old Zachary Sowers, who remains hospitalized.

Three co-defendants accepted plea agreements on robbery charges on Friday and agreed to testify against Ramos had his case gone to trial.

Prosecutors say the four defendants robbed Sowers near his home in the Patterson Park area, then used his credit cards to purchase gas and videos.
