HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) ―

A man accused of murdering his former girlfriend and the Smithsburg police officer who tried to arrest him has been charged with more crimes.

Douglas Pryor,29, of Smithsburg, now faces a total of 36 counts stemming from the deaths of Alison Munson and Christopher Nicholson, and a subsequent shootout with police on Dec. 19.

A Washington County grand jury indicted Pryor Tuesday on five counts in Nicholson's death, including first-degree murder.

An indictment unsealed Thursday charges Pryor with first-degree murder and four other crimes in Munson's death.

A third indictment unsealed Thursday charges him with 26 offenses in the shootout.

An arraignment for Pryor is scheduled for Feb. 21.
