Attack On Skateboarder May Have Been Filmed

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) ―

Frederick police are investigating an attack on a 16-year-old skateboarder that may have been filmed by a friend of the attacker.

Police say the teen and his brother were riding skateboards around Worthington Court in the Carroll Park Manor neighborhood in Frederick around 4 p.m. Saturday.

They told police a male got out of an SUV and without saying anything, punched the teen.

They say he then ran back to the SUV and left.

The teen's brother saw one of the four males in the SUV was pointing a video recorder out of the window and appeared to be filming the attack.

Police say they received calls on Jan. 21 about three or four males beating up another skateboarder, while one of them made a video recording.

In that case, police searched the area, but did not find suspects or a victim.

Police say it's not clear if the incidents are related.
