PG Co. Woman Dies From Shooting Injuries

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) ― Prince George's County police say a woman who was shot has died from her injuries.

Police say they found 28-year-old Kanika Powell at Merrill Lane, the street where she lived, on Thursday afternoon.

She was taken to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body.

Powell was pronounced dead late Friday afternoon.

Police continue to search for a possible suspect and establish a motive for the shooting.
