6-Year-Old Shot In Northeast Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) ― A six-year-old child is shot in the crossfire of a gun battle in Northeast Baltimore.

It happened just after 5 p.m. Saturday in the 3200-block of Lyndale Avenue.

The child has been rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Police say the child was caught in the middle of shooting between two unknown gunmen.

They say the child was shot in the chest, but his injury is non-life threatening and he's expected to be OK.

The boy was apparently playing outside with other children when the shooting started.

Police are still searching for the two suspects who they say fled on foot.
