Md. Student Cut On Face In Lunchtime Attack
SANDY SPRING, Md. (AP) ―
Montgomery County school and police officials say a Sherwood High School senior cut a fellow student across the face during lunch period.
The attack at the school in Sandy Spring left the 10th grader with a wound between his lip and nose that required several stitches.
Police say they arrested Isiah Hollins, 19, at his home in Olney and charged him with assault, possession of a dangerous weapon on school grounds and disturbing school activities.
Students witnessed the altercation and reported it to school staff, but police say it's not clear what started it.
School officials say the 16-year-old victim was treated at a hospital and was home by the end of the day.
