Maryland officials have scheduled a community meeting for 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Maryland officials have scheduled a community meeting for 7 p.m. Wednesday to discuss plans to transfer patients from the Rosewood Center in Owings Mills to the Springfield Hospital Center campus in Sykesville.
The transfer would involve patients deemed unfit to stand trial and not criminally responsible for the crimes. Some residents of neighborhoods near Springfield say they are concerned about safety.
Gov. Martin O'Malley announced in January that the troubled Rosewood Center in Owings Mills would close next June because of safety problems.
