Man Charged In Road Rage Shooting That Killed 2

BALTIMORE (AP) ―

Baltimore police have charged a Westminster man in the fatal shooting of two people in a road rage incident nearly four months ago.

Tavon Spruell is charged with two counts of first-degree murder, assault and handgun crimes in the deaths of 32-year-old Edward Baylor and 16-year-old Rebecca Meekins in the Bolton Hill neighborhood of Baltimore in February. He was arrested Thursday.

The car Baylor was driving nearly hit the car Spruell was driving and they shouted at each other before pulling over.

That's when police say shots were fired. Baylor and Meekins were both hit and died later at Shock Trauma.

Police say Spruell is the only person arrested in the slayings.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 29.
